Chris Kirk posted a final-round 65 to secure a one-shot victory at The Sentry in Hawaii.
The opening tournament of the year on the PGA Tour is for the previous year's competition winners and members of the top 50, and it was Kirk who was able to secure his first title since the early part of 2023.
On a low-scoring golf course, eight birdies in a faultless round were enough for the American to edge out Sahith Theegala who recorded a 63.
Kirk required a par on the final hole to secure his victory, one which takes him up to 25th in the World Golf Rankings.

A group of five players, headed by world number one Scottie Scheffler, finished in a share of fifth, with Sungjae Im, Brian Harman, Collin Morikawa and J.T. Poston enjoying a productive start to 2024.
Tyrrell Hatton and Matthew Fitzpatrick were the best of the English contingent, ending the competition in a share of 14th spot.
Ryder Cup stars Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg could only post 22nd and 47th-placed finishes.
